Vaqlo is a one-person project. The fastest way to get help or report a bug is GitHub or email.

First run

Permissions: Vaqlo asks for Microphone and System Audio Recording (to capture calls), plus optional Notifications, Calendar, and Accessibility. Grant them in the onboarding screen or System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Models: Open Settings → Models and download a Whisper model (and an LLM if you want summaries). They download once and stay on your Mac.
Recording: Press ⌥⌘ R, use the menu-bar icon, or the Control Center toggle.

No system audio?: System Audio Recording needs macOS 14.4+ and its permission. Re-check it in Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.
Dictation tool keeps triggering?: When it first grabs the mic, pick “Never”, or add it under Settings → meeting detection → trigger apps and set it to Ignore.
Where are my notes?: In the app timeline, and exported as markdown to the folder you choose in Settings.
Updates: Vaqlo checks daily and via “Check for Updates…” in the menu.
